I have long hair. Like, really long. And I’ve been really discouraged lately because I can’t keep it down without collecting seriously problematic knots and tangles. I’ve always been really jealous of those people who say they don’t brush their hair (Gisele…) but I understand why you wouldn’t want to. Still, I couldn’t get a pretty, soft look without ripping through my hair with major force which made things worse in the long run. Then I stumbled upon this stuff by organix. I thought, maybe what I need is a little moisture. Bingo! I used this stuff instead of conditioner and left it on for five minutes in the shower. When I woke up the next morning, I had shiny, lovely, long locks and I was hooked. Now I use it every time I condition and I would recommend it to EVERYONE.

CONFESSION: I just fell in love with Monique Lhuillier.

Kate Spade is the first thing that comes to mind when I think ‘polka dots’, but it seems like the playful pattern is everywhere this Fall. I couldn’t be happier. I especially love the nude polka dot tights from Monique Lhuillier! Where can I get those?! A couple of seasons ago there was a YSL (I think) shoe ad with nude fishnets. I fell in love immediately and have since had the same reaction to this polka dot version. Charlotte Ronson has a different take on the idea of polka dot tights. At first I couldn’t tell whether these were metallic dots or holes. This line isn’t really my style but it reminded me of my sister and the model is gorgeous. Marc Jacobs wins the award for most glamourous polka dots. AmIRight? LOVE the subtle color blocking on this dress with the crisp contrasting sleeves.

Alright Carolina Herrera, you win. Maybe it’s the aspiring business woman in me but I am in love with this entire collection. I’m seriously into the stovepipe trousers that are all the rage for Fall, and they seem like the perfect marriage of fashion+comfort. However, the tailored look will always be business appropriate and if I can wear something THAT gorgeous to work, sign me up! Not to mention, her dresses make you want to throw a party just to invent an occasion to wear them. I might amend my career goals to include: dressing in Carolina Herrera daily.
